To foster collaboration and engagement, in late 2019 I-Light formed a Network Advisory Council (NAC). This group comprises volunteers from its 40+ member institutions within the Indiana higher education community along with I-Light’s network leadership. The uniqueness of each member institution is such that, even though all serve higher education, the challenges that each institution faces is different enough to warrant I-Light providing additional opportunities for engagement, such as the NAC. This helps ensure that the network is prepared to meet the distinct and evolving needs of its community.
The goal of the NAC is to help identify the needs of members and give them a voice in regard to the direction the network grows. The NAC represents each vertical that the I-Light network supports across its private, public, and community colleges and universities and provides a conduit for members to help leaders steer the network in a direction that best supports each institution.
I-Light’s Network Advisory Council meets monthly. Council membership is a two-year commitment.
The NAC’s inaugural meeting was held in-person on December 3, 2019, and formats pivoted to online in spring 2020, due to COVID-19.
